The Premier Pain Care Practice
Explanation of Treatment
When you contact our office, your questions about ketamine will be answered. Relevant medical information will be collected to insure ketamine will be safe and effective, and payment options will be discussed. If treatment is appropriate and you choose ketamine treatment, we will contact your current doctor to coordinate care.
At your first treatment appointment, you will meet one of our board-certified anesthesiologists. This doctor will do a brief physical exam and will quantitatively assess the condition being treated. Treatment is provided in a private, comfortable room. A very small IV is started to administer ketamine. You will be monitored with an EKG, blood pressure machine, and pulse oximeter.
Your driver can be with you during treatment, which lasts about an hour. You may feel sedated during treatment. Six treatments are given over three weeks, and most patients show significant improvement.
